We need to integrate theory with practice. We should make each of the higher education institutions a "factory" - just as the medical colleges do. In medical colleges, the students and their teachers serve the patients but the Engineering Colleges does not make any products. We should make each of the higher education institutions make their own branded products with teachers, students and parents playing their roll - parents by purchasing the products of course!

The discrimination between 'Vocational education' Vs 'Higer education'must end and all education must be treated as Education. And a cobbler and a doctor, both must be able to make a decent living from their skills and they must be trained for the highest skills training in the skills of their choice. All skills must be looked upon as skills alone not higher or lower. And this must start at secondary school and all students must learn how to work with all raw materials that we use.

Lokmanya Tilak once wrote a letter to his son from Andaman jail that "do what you want...I dont mind if you are a cobbler some day but see to it that you are the best cobbler in the whole nation"This spirit should be invoked in each and every student right from the teen age. or say from standard 7.expose them with experience of each profession like they do it in "kidzenia" RCity mall,Ghatkopar,Mumbai Maharashtra. and then let them chose what they want to be and work tirelessly in that direction

we need a web site with state wise / location wise listing of skill development offered by different organisations, the minimum requirement to join such course, the amount of money involved in taking such courses by way of fees and the job opportunities available. As much as possible thr job foe basic knowledge related to learning such skills can be made available for downloading so students can come prepared to the class. This web site should also upload the successful candidates available

Along with regular skill development courses, we can ask the foreign investors regarding the skill required for their operation. Most of the routine operations require specific skills. In the locality they set up their manufacturing plant, they can offer different courses for the school or college going children. They can even set up a small lab for this purpose. When the children completes the skill courses of their choices, the MNCs can absorb them in job.
