Regarding slabs, I would recommend for individuals employed or deputed to work in tier 1 and tier 2 cities: Rs.1-10 lakhs : 10%, Rs.10-20 lakhs: 20% and Above Rs.20 lakhs: 30%. This should lead to greater voluntary compliance. for corporates whose earnings are derived from operations in tier1 and tier 2 cities: flat rate of 30% for all established companies with a share capital/market cap over 100 crores. All MSMEs with a share capital/market cap below 100 crores: 20%.

Allow me to pick on PM's dream "Housing for all" through "Private Capital for Public housing" Wherein we re-create a class of historic housing entrepreneurs. Consider tax revenues out of designed rent agreements Like rent payment only thru nominated, pancard linked bank accounts. Protection of assets & revenues for entrepreneurs, Housing for the public, tax relief for rent payments. Currently black money generated from corruption percolates into Housing.

Any further increase in tax exemptions for investments in housing limits will only lead to builders and developers getting greedier and hiking property prices which are already at inflated levels. As of today, a house/flat in Chennai or other tier 1 cities costs more than the cost of a house/flat in Dubai or Scotland or Seattle. Isn't this ridiculous ?

We are quite hopeful that there will be a good budget allocation for northeastern states. Its the demand of hour that the communication sector of northeastern states should be focused during the national budge including the rural development. we further urged for the special initiative for the socio-economic improvement of minority and other backward communities.

As we know Rates for some facilities like electricity, Building tax, etc,. are different for domestic purpose and industrial or commercial purpose..,But when coming to crude oil prices, it is same for common people, industrial purpose, transportation or for any commercial usage ..Why don't we adopt different rates for petrol and desiel for domestic and commercial purpose ? .In addition to that Govt is paying subsidy too for commercial usage. Is it necessary to pay subsidy to rich and commercial ?

In Personal tax - CAP HRA exemption to max 25000 apart from present rules. Also give HRA as standard deduction instead as allowance. This will relieve companies of unnecessary maintaining those bills and documentation. Same time it will be of great benefit to individuals. This is not going to effect the revenue but because of CAPPING it will add to revenue. Why Govt. should give tax benefits to luxurious living who pays more then 25000 Rs per month rent? Levy cess on Disel/Petrol & no TOLL r

The current tax saving exemption limit provided u/s 80C offers enough savings potential for a family to invest in a house/flat for their residence. Taken on joint ownership, a couple can together get exemption for 1.5 x 2 = 3 lakhs on the interest amount of the housing loan and 1 x 2 = 2 lakhs on the principal amount of the housing loan per annum. This amounts to Rs.5 lakhs of tax saving benefit. No country in the world offers such a large tax incentive.

Vodafone is not doing any favour to India by setting up their business here. They are here for commercial profit from the enormous potential market in India. The BJP would have been well served by keeping to the statement of the past finance minister Shri Pranab Mukherjee that the govt's policy was not retrospective in any way, but only of a clarificatory nature.

There was no need to woo FIIs and FDIs by resorting to extra-constitutional methods like in the Vodafone M&A case. Vodafone is well known all over the developed world to misuse loopholes in the law, for the sake of cheating the taxman. No legal system can ever be 100% foolproof in an ever expanding world of technology and innovation, they can only be expected to catch up with a lag. So the requirement for clarificatory settlements will remain a given in the foreseeable future as well.
