The Indian Govt makes all efforts to port the Garbaze to the Dumps. But the problem arises with the way the Waste is Transported. We use to see the open top Tractors/Trucks etc getting filled with more than they are capable of.As a result, the roads become more dirty when the such Truck passes. It spills from the top.Its even more dangerous if some polythene gets of the Truck and covers the Driver of a vehicle coming behind it.

One suggestion for Green India : By creating healthy competition b/w all neighboring villages in India. Meaning for any development in any village gov should announce that priority would be given to the village where more trees would be planted in last 1/2/3 years . This would create healthy competition for green India. Regards Narendra

There is a lot of public concern that the government's focus on speeding up land clearances for industrial projects, laudable as it is, may negatively impact our precious forest reserves, flora and fauna which are our national heritage, and eventually damage the environement that sustains us. It is important for the government to communicate clearly, on what it is doing to ensure that speedy industrial project clearances, will not impact our natural resources and the environment.

Green India Initiative should be start with change in mind set as well as behavioral changes. Forcing to plan or go green is not going to work. One should understand the need and the importance of green and clean surroundings then only there could be a change. Yes start with schools and colleges... consumers.... provide incentives in terns of grades that could be used for admissions, jobs etc. Also the facilities. For example, I need to clean my surroundings but there are no dustbins as required
