Education is primarily a state issue. Therefore, each state may like to set up a team of world-class interdisciplinary researchers for examining effects of potential interventions, evaluating current social/educational programs, and producing policy-relevant research.

India has not been able to establish consistency between national human-resource requirement, knowledge-base, policy design and implementation, and educational practices in the field. Got to do this. (1/2)

The schools should be asked to built play grounds,buy music instruments, encourage painting & other sports equipments should be available in the school for every student. The syllabus must contain weightage for these activities,so that schools take extra curriculum activities seriously.

1.These activities should start from the 1st class onwards,a real life situations can be created in the schools & each student could be asked to forward their views on that situation. Schools should at last tell them about the right step to be taken in that situation.This will inculcate ethics in the children. A weightage should be given in syllabus for this task. 2.An extra weightage can be kept in syllabus for students having extra ordinary talents(like in painting,sports,musicetc.)

Ethics is the most important, fundamental and core component of education. Make students inculcate moral values in spirit during their primary phase of education so that they can differentiate between right and wrong from the very beginning and remember them throughout their lives.

Indian schools are suffering from lack of will to better develop students as an all rounder. Very few take up Personality Development and sports seriously. A student may have the potential to become a writer , or an RJ , or a musician .But the "SCHOOL" which he is going to, does it really do more than imparting education ?

Firstly reduce the no of subjects till class 10. instead of too many subects, focus on personality development. US system have only 3-4 subjects compulsory, 1. English in the form of academic enrichment- writing skills and expressing yourself 2. Maths .3 Science all other 4-5 subjects are optional and these include not only History , geography but skills such as KEyboarding, Theatre, Music, Creative arts, sports which keep children interested and happy. Our education system is boring & heavy

Also from the middle school level onwards, entrepreneurship courses should be integrated into the curriculum. Real world projects, internships, case studies and business plan competitions can be the key elements. It will foster job creation,innovation and 21st century skills development.

As proposed by the International Commission for the Twenty-first Century, in its Report (Delors et al) to UNESCO, Learning: The Treasure Within, there are 4 pillars of learning: Learning to know, Learning to Do, Learning to live together and Learning to be. Our curriculum needs to be restructured around these 4 pillars effectively. Hence a fine blend of active learning pedagogies such as experiential learning, problem based and project based learning needs to be embedded throughout curriculum
