I was researching the career conseling industry. The disconnect between the EDUCATION and the CAREER has prompted many senior professionals to start "Career Counseling Business" . There are doctors, educationists, psychotherapists, and teachers in the business to assist the career aspirants in exchange for money and very few are into charity service. Parents are ready to spend lakhs for education but not few hundreds for counselling service. In most cases it is become a one time affair.

If the developed world can use them; why can’t we? We need to explore various possibilities for creation of jobs. Both, private and public sector organisations must join hands in this venture with initiatives from Govt. of India. One great avenue is to utilize the enormous potential of our “Agriculture’.

Take the field of life science or biotechnology. Public sector has been producing so many graduates, post-graduates and doctorates every year in these fields. It is high time that we think about their employment opportunities beyond academics. We need to ask ourselves about the utility such a volume of skilled manpower.

The best CSR an industry can contribute, is spend some time sharing their experience with students. Why should the external examiner visit the student? Shouldn’t the student visit him, so that both of them benefit. Let the number of students per company be decided by the tax paid. Each student can interact with 3 companies each year. Let projects be submitted as blog topic on college servers. Datetime of updates will be auto-tracked. More Info: http://nikhiloza.com/education-reforms/

In my view industry should have allocated quota for sponsored students as per their requirements & deciplines in institutes, for admissions, I.e., the sponsored students will get employment in that industry, after completing their study, as well they can do projects/practical work with help of that industry, which may have certain contract between them, registered with the institute/government, which help all the three parties developing a homogeneous bond between them which will benefit nation

One III meet in one calender year will not give any results . 4 to 8 weeks summer internships / training modules will not yield any productive results . All students do not get equal opportunities for internships . But summer internships of 4 to 8 weeks will not give desired results . Minimum 6 months internship should be made compulsory ; course curriculum need to be amended to accommodate one semester internships ( in line with IITs and BITS-PILANI ..Pankaj Bavishi -- VRCE - 1979 - 9850343317

6 months' or 1 year Industrial Internships must be made compulsory for diploma , degree , master's degree courses . Industries also should have mechanisms to run such programs for the students . Not all Industries have such programs . Regular interval Accreditation of institutes should be done seriously . Many colleges run with ill-equipped laboratories and this is not being monitored properly .Industry Institute Interaction meets should be arranged quite frequently in campus .
