Having studies in India and USA and having worked in India, I realize the vast difference between the education in India and USA. What I've realized - 1) Higher education in India is not application oriented. More emphasis on real world problems 2) Since most professors are not associated with research, they are not aware of the cutting edge in the field. 3) One can get by easily by producing mediocre research. Main reasons lack of infrastructure and lack of push for Innovative ideas

My two cents on higher education in India: 1) Collaboration - There's lot of redundancy since each college offers the same courses all throughout the country. Instead colleges could be given leeway in formulating their own courses apart for mandatory core courses depending on their strengths. Students should be allowed to take credits from other institutions depending on their interests as long as they complete core credits. This can be enabled by web based learning

I am an Indian who is struggling in society with employment. I have a private job but corruption has its effect in every field and I am not the exception. By joining with "My Gov" I want to take entrance in first step to make the system better as much as possible on my behalf. So without saying so much it will be to work hard with hearing my inner voice. Thank You.

The students should be given freedom to go ahead with particular subject or discipline at an early level . The proper schooling atmosphere including the moral & technical education should be given. Nowadays our schooling lacks in moral & practical education. The CCE system should be applied effectively from ground level. Sports in school must be mandatory& competition should be held time to time. The policy like nobody would be failed upto 8thclass is making students less diligent.

All Industries must by law provide opportunities for students/job seekers to undergo onjob training at premises of the industry and industry should provide scholarships/apprenticeships compulsorily and CSR funds need to be diverted for this purpose. All Industries must forecast their actual requirement of number of human resource and the job-wise skill set required and select the candidates in the beginning of the course itself so that he is trained during the course to become industry ready

Syllabuses of various education boards should be revised to meet current age needs. Firms - both PSU and private - should be encouraged to conduct workshops for students starting from high-school levels all the way until they complete their graduation. This could be for streams in technical, commerce, science, medicine/pharma among other sectors. Mere conceptual knowledge is not sufficient, our future generation needs to know how things work and how a theory can be put to practice. A must.
