1.Syllabus should be designed keeping in mind the demand of the market. 2.Each university should tie up with at least two industries to develop the skills of the students. 3.Specialised teachers should be recruited having different industrial & market skills, which can guide students according to their choices.

if you look at professional colleges . Junior and senior keep in touch and share inside information about the industry. This is how the support system is built around it. We should build a yahoo group for each industry any way they already exist in social media to create a support system.

if companies can share their training material fro student to learn. It can begin from government and public sector organisation. E.g lot of student go for UPSC (IAS IRs entry exam)/ if initial training material and video lectures just like nptel initiative by IIT's should share lectures. Public sector units like BHEL etc should also share their new recruit training material and record lectures of their training.

If you look at management colleges. They bring in industry leaders for short lectures. Similarly we can have experts recording their lecture and available for students. Also ask student to keep track of advertisement for jobs in various portals they also give insight what skills are required for entry also student just like facebook become active on linkedin which is a professional network social media to get update what is happening in the industry.

Research & Development is a matter of priority driven by Govt funds for Govt institutions. These institutions work with the stereotyped approach & hence objective results are not shaping with the time which is expected. Moreover qualitative assessment has lead to unjustified outputs given by these institutions. Assessment of output of research & development in terms of their implementation is where the whole problem is. This needs to be plugged through checks & balances on project approval.
