Look at China, example:China export small stuff like comb even though less quality offering cheaper, it's gov provides incentives,training and helps to export. Learn from China how they achieved to rule world wide exporting. China probably using it's migrated diaspora to start ventures in China,connect to world than India.

I am wanting to start a organic product manufacturing plant to hep farmers, export world wide which is based on my family invention. It's super complex to find help there from gov, banks, funding. central/state gov's could offer 50% investment with long term repay option from for a viable idea/business from NRIs. You would see results quickly I guess. Corruption is what show stopper for NRIs.

I am NRI living in china, we need to understand what china is importing from other countries and we try to export those goods from India. my openion it is not reaching to the small salried people. It must encourage the small salaried people with surity of Govt. bonds to open up small scaleindustries at remote areas which is really more export concern things manufacturing unit. Even if they comes back to india they have surity of job and the shre of profit.I am talking about the gulf countries mainly. Please do something for our gulf working people for their future life.

Congress ignored the basic needs of what middle class expects -clean streets , honesty , infrastructure , enterprise- good cities to live and work. most NRIs are disillusioned with the political class and this is the ultimate protest-leave the country. To be heard you need political clout which is earned by merit but based on dynasty , muscle power, corruption-a toxic mix which cannot be digested easily by any honest person. Hope the NDA govt can recognize this fact and make India habitable.

There is a feeling in India that NRI= Non Required Indians. This feeling should be removed . The members can help in promoting startup's by free Trade policies. NRI's should be given tax free benefits in India to startup a business for employing a certain number of people.

When a person is successful and strong in financial status. Than he is hungry for name, fame. This can be one of the reasons to attract NRI's to invest money in their native places. By changing street name/village name/tourism related awards /appreciation on their names.
