In my city around 3-5K Rickshawalas are there and the more transport vehicles.On paper they have got PUC done of there vehicles which is one of the document RTO police asks for.Sorry to say sir but these all vehicles are out of maintenance and causes loads of pollution around.But due to there on paper PUC registered they are not caught hold nor RTO is wooried about this.Even if the vehicle is causing pollution but have got PUC.This is a very crucial problem causing pollution .pls take action.

Finance Minister Arun Jaitley should encourage rich people or to be more specific those in the higher taxable slab of income to surrender their Aadhar linked subsidy made available for LPG connections. The government may also announce some incentives for encouraging more and more people to surrender their subsidy. This idea can be spread at the party level too. The amount thus saved may not be large, still it will have significant impact and send a positive message.

Let them man the new Boards or corporations to monitor the sewage system. We will have the best minds to resolve the issues and to replicate a system of the Harappan era. Educate their children free of cost to take other careers. End the era of manual scavenging for ever.

Local bodies organizing functions to felicitate them in public (a good gesture) by providing them "Pehchann patra" based on ADHAR card (if they don't have it already), Opening of bank accounts under PMJDY as well as providing them "Naukari patra" for becoming volunteers ("Chetriya swachta bal " to say )on contract or permanent basis for the Swach bharat abhiyan.

Manual scavenging is a social evil.So social awareness among people not to employ people for this kind of work.

Establishing sanitary toilets in every household so that no work for manual scavengers.Education for these people and their children.Self employment to these people to earn their livelihood so that they don' t depend on their old profession.Implementation of govt run welfare schemes like providing BPL cards,rations etc.Engaging self help groups to these people further help these people think and act outside their old profession.

In India a major problem is identify true victim of bad social system like manual scavenger. Govt has been allotted crores of rupees to rehabilitate programs but not effectively usage. Bad consultation of administration was one of the problem. Politicians made promises but they were not committed make reality. Until their 100% effort it is not possible to rehabilitate manual scavengers. Civil society must cooperate with Govt to help to implement helping programs for Manual Scavengers.
