Government should 1. frame a policy to change all street lights to LEDs in tier II / III cities. 2. Government buildings / Offices should use LEDs ( when needed ). 3. the government should encourage private shopkeepers to sell the light for lower price ie, at alower profit margin.then create awareness to people about led lights.

The steps which govt should adopt are 1. Encourage company to sell at least margin of profit. 2. Ask various Electric board to distrbute the same. 3. Or ask elctric board to give the LED to consumers at installment, which should be deducted monthly basis by the consumers.

#LEDs Use of LED bulbs is less because of very high price, Government needs to do cost audit of manufacturing cost to check the correctness of high MRP. One reason for high selling price appears to be inclusion of future savings in energy cost. Another step to increase the use would be to make LEDs Excise Duty free and No VAT and Sales Tax.

6 points suggestions:- 1. Initial Pvt public partnership company to create led bulbs at low costs. 2. reduce or no tax on led bulbs for 1 year or so. 3. all Street lights across India - need state acceptance to be led driven 4. subsidise the combo product of LED with solar cells for Street lights. 5. build technology to have smart billing with IoT to have reduce billing where ever led have been used as LED is adaptable with IoT. 6. distribute LED at cheap rate though PDS.

1.LED bulbs should be sold at a subsidised rate.Subsidy to be provided according to household income. 2.Awareness should be created in schools, villages and towns across the country regarding LED bulbs and their benefits. 3.In areas where electricity is deficit as it is, LED bulbs should be distributed for free to each family. 4.All government buildings should use LED lights to set a good example. 5.LED bulbs should be sold in ration shops to make the people aware of them.

Few Suggestions Below: 1. The power-generation should be gradually increased and its supply system streamlined. 2. Hiring an external agency to conduct Stand & Van Campaign's pan India to educate consumers usage of LED's 3. Incentivising Bill Collectors who once a month visits each house for selling LED's. 4. Design and develop a brochure which contains energy / money saving comparison chart wrt to CFL & other bulbs.
