It is good that LED Bulbs are supplied to the people at subsidised rates. I too have utilised the facility .But the problem is that the lights from the LED bulbs are not enough for a big hall in my house. All these days I have been using two tubelights in a big hall of my house. The brightness of the tublights were enough to cover the entire hall . But now two LED Bulbs are not enough for a big hall .I have to go for additional bulbs but there are no light points.

In India you can promote a commodity only when it is cheap as well as effective. The led bulbs are till date either equal to or more expensive than cfl . also there are people who still use the tungsten bulb because its cheap. Decrease rates of LEDs and at the same time make them aware of its advantages. Only showing advantages will not bring change in a short duration.

First bann the bulbs, cfl bulbs and tube light or increase their price because a person will go for 20 rupee bulb rather than 100 rupee led which is given by government on electricity bill and second thing increase the number of led bill from 10 to 20 or 25 for each bill and also cut down its price and form a team in each city that see every office hospital school building that is installed with led if not then take action againts them(this also increase employement). And in the end necessary ads

The first thing would be advertising the eco-friendly nature of LED bulbs to attract the more educated and above middle class people. Secondly, provide incentives and funds to the research organisations and manufacturers for cheap production of LEDs, which will effectively reduce the cost. The people, as usual, will prefer the cheaper option (enhanced with the fact that it is environment friendly).
