The e-Committee, Supreme Court of India envisages a judicial system that is more accessible, efficient, and equitable for every individual who engages with the justice delivery system. The right of access to justice, guaranteed under Article 21 of the Constitution encompasses the right to access live court proceedings.

To imbue greater transparency, inclusivity and foster access to justice, the e-Committee has undertaken the project of live streaming of court proceedings on priority. This will enable access to live court proceedings, including on matters of public interest to citizens, journalists, civil society, academicians, and law students on a real-time basis, which was not otherwise possible owing to geographical, logistical, or infrastructural issues.

The e-Committee, Supreme Court of India invites inputs, feedback, and suggestions on the Draft Model Rules for Live-Streaming and Recording of Court Proceedings.

Click here to read the Draft Model Rules for Live-Streaming and Recording of Court Proceedings.

The last date to receive Suggestions/Inputs is 30th June 2021.

should govt and supreme court out source primary level reports to companies like TATA (already handling passport services). example: progress on each case, current status of case, basic working for cases in initial stage they can give dates of hearing basis proper justification difficult to implement but it will be good combination of govt with private and technology

Respected PM, We all from 1947 to till 2000, are not aware about Information Technogy and how use it in each area. But when our Central Govt started Digital India platform, we all try to became not only Citizen of India, but also netizen of India. When Covid Pandemic waves starts from 21 March 2020, we all are staying home for staying safe. We all started to use Internet as tool and use of Mobile is like family member. Iit is the need of time that all Court proceeding must be Virtual.

In line with Digital Economy. Live streaming of all the proceeding & of all the cases should be made mandatory. So that it can be accessed from anywhere and by anyone. Specially for margialized comnunity it will cheaper option to attend & participate in proceeding as well. It should be duly recorded and stored in digital format in case one need to go back and re verify certai facts which has duly been discussed in the past. I truely beleive this will be path breaking step for our Country.
