The e-Committee, Supreme Court of India envisages a judicial system that is more accessible, efficient, and equitable for every individual who engages with the justice delivery system. The right of access to justice, guaranteed under Article 21 of the Constitution encompasses the right to access live court proceedings.

To imbue greater transparency, inclusivity and foster access to justice, the e-Committee has undertaken the project of live streaming of court proceedings on priority. This will enable access to live court proceedings, including on matters of public interest to citizens, journalists, civil society, academicians, and law students on a real-time basis, which was not otherwise possible owing to geographical, logistical, or infrastructural issues.

The e-Committee, Supreme Court of India invites inputs, feedback, and suggestions on the Draft Model Rules for Live-Streaming and Recording of Court Proceedings.

Click here to read the Draft Model Rules for Live-Streaming and Recording of Court Proceedings.

The last date to receive Suggestions/Inputs is 30th June 2021.

court judgements for common people very very slow, too much time consuming now. set up different court for different crimes and with time bound actions. within 3 months final judgement should be over. example ,in Bank fraud case since one year postponing for further 15 days due to silly reasons. thousands of senior most citizens suffering. corruption, money power, fraudsters using influence is reasons. nobody can question judges style. our systems are rotten and favourite to powerful people.

Sir, live streaming and recording of court proceedings will be a very fruitful exercise of indian democracy so far it is not considered as a real one bcz of justice seeking machanisms r infavour powerful aristocrats fiefdom. common man can learn and dispel his ignorance regarding such opaque system of deliverance of justice; & at the sametime citizens can opine and discuss the merit and demerit of judgements which may bring our judges to common public scrutiny but not to put pressure on judges.

Please assign cases which clearly identify the date and year case was in court for discussion. This cases can be tracked using a app or online. Court should have SLA to have no backlog beyond 2-3 years . Poor should get choice of lawyers or law firms who can fight case for them along fee details.

One issue to be addressed, is lawyer demanding high fees, changing stance, supporting the opposite party etc. A complete online portal with simplified procedure where citizens can easily run the case from their home, without help of lawyers, at their comfort wherever it is possible to do so, is needed. Idea is, for simple cases, make procedure simple, quick and easy for ordinary citizens to understand so they don't need to engage a lawyer for it, and lose, a winnable case.

There should be some categories which can be live streamed and some can't be live streamed(according to the seriousness crimes ex. Religion). And court matters are serious things which is be done independently and with transparency so for this There should be a special "Database Center" for Court records & Proof records which is maintained by DCRCD(Digital Court Records Chief Director) appointment by CJI, PM, Opposition Leader, and Chief justice of High court (highest authority of India)
