In India when it comes to manual cooking, dirty surrounding is a common problem. So everything should be done automatically by machines and before sending the food for serving, the manager should taste himself. Also the same food should be served as lunch to the workers so that they work better for having brilliant food.

Besides agencies like ISCKON, Government can promote setting up modern kitchen in one area (which can cater may be 5-10 schools around) having permanent employees and get inspected by village bodies regularly and get it digitally connected for supply chain management. Other option is to have NGO run such kitchen based on transparent selection process of NGOs.

Approached to Local ZP school in couple of Villages near my city to view the quality of Mid day meal. Very much Disappointed by looking @the status of kitchen and place used for making food for child's coming in school. Few months back approached to administration with proposal to make arrangements same as Akshya Patra Mid day meal but helpless to say local leaders &/or local administration people don't want improvement in current ongoing system. Will b happy to make this possible if offered...

I experienced that there is lack of awareness about cleanliness and nutritional value in cooks as well as in students. Level of awareness should improve. This task should be given to principal or interested teachers. Poor infrastructure is also a reason. Utensils are there but proper space for kitchen, water supply, waste disposal area is not there. Conditions will not improve unless principal take the responsibility to improve.

Pl.arrange make one meeting to all staff (Akshy Patra) to give motivation what they service given to Nation (BAPS) kitchen department....Groups ? give the meeting for improvisation ...to supervisor cader to attend seminar of BAPS function how they handle the team in kitchen job check it -and visit at BAPS seminar.......Gujarat...Shahibaugh...central office...

My report pertains to mid day school kitchen being operated in vicinity of my village at Varanasi.I am appalled at state of filth and utter dis regard to hygiene with sole focus of contractors operating in garb of NGOs on earning profit.The flour is full of rat shit and dirty water is used to cook food.No fixed menus exist and children are used as labour to enhance profit.DIOS and sarpanch are in cahoots with Headmaster who pocket all money.Please stop this scheme till a better system evolves.
