Bilaspur Smart City Talk

As per the guidelines issued by the Ministry of Urban Development for smart city challenge, the third Stakeholder/Citizen consultation meeting is being organized by Bilaspur Municipal Corporation on 1/11/2015. The meeting will start at 4:00pm at Lal Bahadur Shastri School, Dikshit Sabha Bhavan.

Discussion on the options of Pan city and Area Development projects will be carried out during the talk show.

The meeting will be headed by Member of Parliament (C.G.) Mr. Lakhan Lal Sahu, in the presence of Mayor Bilaspur Mr. Kishor Rai, Municipal Commissioner Mrs. Ranu Sahu. Members of Laghu Udyog Sangh, Merchant Association, Chamber of Commerce, Rotary Club and Lions Club will also be present in the talk show.

(1)provide E-Security through One Touch Mobile Button or Code which send alarms & location to Police & relatives. (2)Online application of all Services, Licences, Permissions, Facilities, Complaints etc. (3)Transparency & Online records of all Govt. activities & Expenditures (4)Strong laws & punishments (5)Revise Reservation Policy poverty/status wise instead of cast wise

Traffic - More than pollution, traffic shall be controlled. Proper one ways, different timings of schools and offices, traffic changes mornings and evenings can change the traffic condition of the city. Proper planning is required for the same.

Public transportation service should start soon and should cover almost all the areas of city. Buses and bus stops should have GPS systems fitted so that the time of arrival and location of the bus can be known. Also smart cards can be used for travel in buses such as metro rail systems.

Road and Traffic systems should be made full proof. Peoples should be fined for wrong parking, breaking traffic rules and signals. Drive sense should be checked and traffic signals should be taught to the peoples. Children below 18 years of age should be punished especially along with their parents for disobeying traffic rules. Safety should be ensured by making strict actions against people breaking traffic rules and taught properly about safety measures.

*promote girl child education *women safety and employment should be increased *computers should be installed in schools so that children are made computer literate in era of e-commere *educating all about causes and effects of regional widespread diseases & how to prevent them. *at least one subsidised hospital service in area of 50kms

1.We need to make separate lanes for different vehicles in the roads and everyone should follow this. 2.Waste disposal is also a major prblm.we should recycle this by making use of plastics in road construction,dumping organic wastes so it will become manure. 3.Banning of plastics and drinks like coke,Pepsi must be banned because they are not a healthy drinks because it has high ph content in it.#MyGov
