Bilaspur Smart City Talk

As per the guidelines issued by the Ministry of Urban Development for smart city challenge, the third Stakeholder/Citizen consultation meeting is being organized by Bilaspur Municipal Corporation on 1/11/2015. The meeting will start at 4:00pm at Lal Bahadur Shastri School, Dikshit Sabha Bhavan.

Discussion on the options of Pan city and Area Development projects will be carried out during the talk show.

The meeting will be headed by Member of Parliament (C.G.) Mr. Lakhan Lal Sahu, in the presence of Mayor Bilaspur Mr. Kishor Rai, Municipal Commissioner Mrs. Ranu Sahu. Members of Laghu Udyog Sangh, Merchant Association, Chamber of Commerce, Rotary Club and Lions Club will also be present in the talk show.

The corporation should introduce smart metering and automatic billing system for electricity.

A city is not smart until it manages its waste well. Waste management process should be decentralised and locality based, quick and real time. It is surprising to note that 70% of waste is organic in nature & can be reprocessed before it becomes waste or, thereafter, can be recycled in a sustainable manner. Create ATM like centers to pay Electricity Bill, telephone Bill, recharge mobile phones every 2 Kms within the radius.

CCTV cameras on all the roads and encourage owners to install it in commercial n residential bldgs to reduce crime n clearing huge traffic blocks

We should develop a website. One stop portal for consumer needs. - Site should show corporation current activities about city infrastructure - Consumer feedback - Perhaps link to external websites that gives detailed information to avail Ration card, Voter ID, License, Aadhar.
