Bilaspur Smart City Talk

As per the guidelines issued by the Ministry of Urban Development for smart city challenge, the third Stakeholder/Citizen consultation meeting is being organized by Bilaspur Municipal Corporation on 1/11/2015. The meeting will start at 4:00pm at Lal Bahadur Shastri School, Dikshit Sabha Bhavan.

Discussion on the options of Pan city and Area Development projects will be carried out during the talk show.

The meeting will be headed by Member of Parliament (C.G.) Mr. Lakhan Lal Sahu, in the presence of Mayor Bilaspur Mr. Kishor Rai, Municipal Commissioner Mrs. Ranu Sahu. Members of Laghu Udyog Sangh, Merchant Association, Chamber of Commerce, Rotary Club and Lions Club will also be present in the talk show.

Start a Drive against Plastic Bags because we people are very much use-too to use plastic bags daily and throw it anywhere. Make a law if any one found giving plastic bags in any shop will be fined accordingly.

There is no metropolitan city in India which can honestly claim to deliver 24x7 supply of drinking water. Barring those in Mumbai, urban Indians must invest in inverters/gensets or suffer outages. No city can take electricity supply for granted. Cities and towns are pock-marked by filth and haunted by poor waste management. Travel to and from the airport is a nightmare across India. Daily commute in hours is a reality for the hard-working middle class Indian. There is no city where pollution is

A city will be smart or say developed when its Transportation and Communication Facilities are well developed.So for Rourkela a smart railway station with connectivity to almost all major cities of India is required and total Rourkela should be covered with wi-fi.

Govt should focus on; 1. Teach discipline to citizens as they are undisciplined, 2. tree plantation, as abad is having very less trees in the city. 3. Proper city planning for infrastructure.
