Bilaspur Smart City Talk

As per the guidelines issued by the Ministry of Urban Development for smart city challenge, the third Stakeholder/Citizen consultation meeting is being organized by Bilaspur Municipal Corporation on 1/11/2015. The meeting will start at 4:00pm at Lal Bahadur Shastri School, Dikshit Sabha Bhavan.

Discussion on the options of Pan city and Area Development projects will be carried out during the talk show.

The meeting will be headed by Member of Parliament (C.G.) Mr. Lakhan Lal Sahu, in the presence of Mayor Bilaspur Mr. Kishor Rai, Municipal Commissioner Mrs. Ranu Sahu. Members of Laghu Udyog Sangh, Merchant Association, Chamber of Commerce, Rotary Club and Lions Club will also be present in the talk show.

The Auto rickshaw fares are needed to be fixed between all two destinations. that is "if fixed fare between place A and B is 10 rupees then all the auto rickshaws should take only Rs. 10 for travelling from A to B". This will just reduce the looting of passengers by auto rickshaw drivers.

I think for any smart city energy is a big concern.Since now a lot of new buildings would come up, I feel most of those buildings should have solar panels installed to make the city energy sufficient or maybe even surplus.Moreover Led bulbs could be used.

Govt should focus on; 1. Teach discipline to citizens as they are undisciplined, Still you are trying hard. 2. tree plantation, as abad is having very less trees in the city.

3) I would suggest to implement BRT in bilaspur for better public transport. 4) There should be vertical city growth rather than horizontal

Maximum use of solar energy for street lights, signals and all other applications There should be a app of city where all of us can complaint about our problem and app will be directly connected with respective authority

improve medical facilities, create yoga centers in each residential Area, Develop Small Parks, Remove encroachment, improve water supply, improve electricity supply.

Along with development of old cities into a smart city there is also the need of hours to develop and adopt a model code for development of new cities Pan India for continuous pace of Smart Development.
