Bilaspur Smart City Talk

As per the guidelines issued by the Ministry of Urban Development for smart city challenge, the third Stakeholder/Citizen consultation meeting is being organized by Bilaspur Municipal Corporation on 1/11/2015. The meeting will start at 4:00pm at Lal Bahadur Shastri School, Dikshit Sabha Bhavan.

Discussion on the options of Pan city and Area Development projects will be carried out during the talk show.

The meeting will be headed by Member of Parliament (C.G.) Mr. Lakhan Lal Sahu, in the presence of Mayor Bilaspur Mr. Kishor Rai, Municipal Commissioner Mrs. Ranu Sahu. Members of Laghu Udyog Sangh, Merchant Association, Chamber of Commerce, Rotary Club and Lions Club will also be present in the talk show.

make pollution free bilaspur. Give PARKING facility at more working area. provide one big LIBRARY for all students which have able to 1000 students sit there in a hall.

ICT is at the core of the Smart City. The Smart Cities Council defines a smart city as one which "uses information and communications technology (ICT) to enhance its livability, workability and sustainability" by "collecting, communicating and crunching" data — within and across departments and third parties.

Meanwhile, the Open Geospatial Consortium has created a standard way to describe and geo-locate the sensors, actuators and processors in that network. "We are rapidly moving to a CoLo SoMo world. Eventually everything, down to the smallest devices, will be connected and located," explains Jesse Berst, chairman of the Smart Cities Council.
