Hon’ble Prime Minister Narendra Modi ji, India is rapidly becoming ethanol-self-reliant, yet millions of existing petrol vehicles cannot use high-ethanol fuel. My suggestion: allow certified retrofitting or replacement of old petrol,diesel and CNG engines with flex-fuel engines so existing vehicles can run on E100 ethanol. This could reduce crude oil imports, support farmers, and accelerate clean fuel adoption without waiting for new cars. I request an opportunity to briefly present this idea to the relevant ministry.
