2. Industry needs not only graduates but also workers at different levels. We have demographic advantage of having so many young people in workforce. It is important to enhance skills of that force. For this purpose, network of ITIs must be made wide reaching. Its ability to impart technical training must be enhanced. There should be industry sponsored/ designed courses taught in these institutions.

Policy on ´Standards for minimal disposal electronic goods' should be developed. Accorndingly, only such items feasible for reuse can be made, imported or sold. e.g., CFL with non-replaceable tube not allowed. Computer mouse and accessories must have common interchaneable inner parts making it repairable. This would generate job for skills with refurbishing components, bring down user cost and import bill and reduce electrnic waste.

Skill development has to start at a very early age , right at schools . In japan , children are made to clean their class rooms and toilets , etiquettes are taught . The gurukul system of education was hands on .. But today schools are factories focussing on prototypes .so for proper skill development , identification of talent has to be done early in school. One final exam should be replaced by a continous assessment model . Industry institute partnership should be made mandatory

Our Education syllabus have not been revamped for ages;We need to bring in industry experts to design course content. • According to survey 65% IT engineers are not employable. bring in expert from IT industry to prepare course content. • Same for graduate courses in Universities ( so that it help students get in to academics / research or Civil Services). • MBA courses are totally out of sync with current business world and they need to be revisited. • Emphasis on Soft Skills in any course.
